Artist Statement

Like a plume of ink unfurling through water, my high-flow portraits explore the shifting inner worlds of my subjects. In Sarah’s Dream, high-flow paints are poured directly over a canvas print of my original oil painting, allowing color to drift, collide, and transform. These swirling layers carry the figure into unforeseen realms, revealing what is fluid, volatile, and dreamlike within. Through this experimental and intentionally unpredictable process, I aim to broaden the expressive possibilities of portraiture and give form to the fleeting, transitory nature of emotion.
