Artist Statement

My work explores feminism, ritual, rebellion, death, heartbreak, and secrets. Creativity has been my lifelong refuge and compulsion, starting in childhood with polaroids, typewritten stories, and sticker books. My later style was shaped by the 90s riot grrrl movement, Sylvia Plath, Flannery O’Connor, Catholic rituals, and anti-capitalist dreams. All of those are still influences, along with my adult experiences as a psychotherapist and traveler. I try to translate my bruises, chaos, sickness, not-knowing and wounds into visual narratives.
